First post on here, I bought a KF VO A2F several years ago and im slowly rebuilding it. I bought it unseen knowing it needed work but it really should have been scrapped. Its been a fun project but im struggling when changing out the R8 collets. Some of these machines came with a spindle lock and id like to replicate this on mine. Does anyone on here have one of these machines with the lock?

The spindle lock is shown in the manual you kindly provided on the bottom left of numbered page 10 (page 9 of the pdf). Parts 37-45 in the list.
It looks like it expands onto the inside flange of the drive pulley on top of the spindle. You have to turn the diagram sideways so the pulley is horizontal to see it. It is just like a drum brake on an old motorbike.
The operating lever looks like it moves a rod vertically, so there must be some sort of tapered end on it to convert the vertical movement into a horizontal movement to expand the brake shoe.
If you have the machine in pieces, have a look at the inside of the pulley and on the head in the place where the pulley would sit to see if you can discern any clues.
Blow the manual diagram up to full size and print it out. Then cut out the individual pieces and see where they might fit.

Having looked around a bit, what I wrote above about the operating lever moving vertically is incorrect.
I now think the lever pivots on its shaft so you can turn it sideways and rotate it to apply the brake (just like the arm on a motorbike drum brake that the cable is connected to) and then set it inline with the shaft so you do not accidently apply it when you do not want to.
This thread has some good pictures and the parts look very similar to what is in your manual. The only difference is that the mill shown has a separate brake drum on top of the pulley, whereas your one has the brake drum below the pulley.
The first picture shows the brake lever lying down, so it can be turned. If you stood it up, you could not turn it by mistake.
