Keying old paint - 360 dry?

My car shell will have a new coat of high-build primer, then base and clear, and I need to provide a key around the door jambs. Will 360 grit dry be enough? The rest of the car has been done with 400 dry on a DA sander, so it's just for these little places that will hardly be seen.

400 on a DA is roughly equivalant to 800 so a bit fine fior primer, Personaly i would of used 240 on the DA and 320 for the handwork.

for primer i would go with 240 da /dry or slightly rougher would be fine too

Ought to clarify; this is 360 dry by hand, for the areas the DA can't reach.

yah..240 ish would be ideal , if 360 is all you have chances are it will be okay , could use a red scotch pad too

I used a number of grades in the end, including some medium-grade steel wool for some particularly fiddly bits. Cheers for the advice people.
