Kennametal mill tool - what inserts?

I purchased a relatively cheap box of Kennametal tools and inserts when I got my lathe:

The MT2 milling cutter that came with it will fit my Tom Senior mill.

Am trying to figure out what type of inserts to buy as despite so many boxes of inserts, none seem a good fit.
I can see the tool on Zoro:

But no idea what inserts to buy, anyone any idea? @Hood ?

Looks like the just over £100 I paid for the Pelican case filled with lathe tools and inserts was still a good buy.

Insert pocket looks square so likely a scmt or similar.
No empty insert boxes included?

Not the same as yours. That’s the high feed version, the pockets and inserts are different

There's a reference to the cutter here: https://eprints.sztaki.hu/8611/1/Szaloki_151_3010450_ny.pdf and it gives the inserts as
SDET1204PDSRGB.

There is a very similar cutter here: https://www.mscdirect.co.uk/KIP-90339B/SEARCH:CATEGORY/product.html and if you open the catalogue page, it gives the general form of the insert code - note that the specific cutter here has 14 on the end, so the next size up insert to yours, which takes a 12.

I think these are the ones. but please do check: https://www.zoro.co.uk/shop/cutting...b-ins-kssm90-chip-breaker-gb-cha/p/ZT1163445S I do not know if it is a proprietary insert made only by Kennametal or if their part number translates to an ISO code.

There are more reasonably priced ones on eBay, but research the last characters of the code to assess suitability.

Milling tools are usually a PITA for finding the correct inserts nowadays, best idea is look at what the manufacturer says.

I would say SDET or SDEB. They are thinner

Just done a search for the tool holder part number and came up with a research paper, they mention the insert used for the tool. As @Johnnybravo says it is SDET1204.

I’ve definitely got SDEB 08’s. I think I possibly have a box of 12’s that I bought in error. Will look when I get to work in the morning .

No luck I am afraid. The bigger ones are not SDEB, they are a lot thicker.
