Hi all,
we have a Kemppi Mastertig ac/dc 3500w which has developed a technical issue.
In both AC and DC the arc switches quickly on and off. This switching can be adjusted using the ( 4. Adjustment potentiometer of the down-slope time of the welding current 0 ... 15 s) The down-slope still works correctly but also directly controls the unwanted switching, as if it was an intended feature. To clarify 15 seconds down-slope also equals 15s between a very brief pause in the welding current.
Apart from the switching everything else seems to work perfectly. When the arc starts the display panels goes completely dark until welding stops then it returns. I can’t say if this is related as I never looked to the welder while welding until the switching on and off started.
My hope is some of you encountered this before and have a suggestion.
Thank you!
