    image.jpg image.jpg Hi,
I already posted this question on the 'introduce' section of this forum, but here is maybe a better place.
I have an old kempomat 163 mig welder and I'd like to know what the function of the bottom right connector is.
    Regards,
    Wout

Have you got a better picture of the whole front panel ? It could be for using flux core wire.

It's connected to the neutral so is giving a slightly lower voltage output, and it's half wave rectified so will have a lot of ripple. More than that I can't say.

If memory serves right it's for brazing or soldering, very handy for patching galvanized bodywork. Special wire with low melting point needs to be used I think bronze or brass and pure argon as shielding gas. I may be wrong as I read about it long time ago . I think proper research online should bring some results.
Nice machine by the way, I had same model a few years ago

I just received a mail from kemppi with a scanned copy of the manual. Unfortunately the english part is missing. But I know now that this connector is the earth for 'hot straightening'.
I'll post more info when I can get my hands on it.

It sounds like something you'd go to the hairdresser for. :D

Probably something that would be little used but you never know.
