My statement is based on my experience. My youngest daughter was born in 2013. Unfortunately she was born with a genetic condition which meant that she had multiple and very serious organ defects.
In the 24 hours after she was born she had 6 MRI scans and 3 highly specialised acoustic scans. She was taken rapidly to a specialist unit, and a helicopter and full crew were on standby to take her to a specialist unit in Edinburgh in case she needed a highly specialised heart operation. For which a highly specialised surgeon was also standing by.
Perhaps some of our American posters could oblige and tell me just how much insurance I'd have needed for all that, under their system?
Hi, Here is some examples of what American hospitals charge for services which has to be paid by someone. -
