I haven't listened to the Radio 2 mid morning slot since Ken left. I'm waiting for Popmaster to return on Greatest Hits. I did find Greatest Hits on FM around here which is a bonus. Except for Johnnie Walker on a Sunday afternoon, I have given up on Radio 2.

R2 is getting worse with every older presenter who goes. Mills in the afternoon really gets up my nose, all camp and Eurovision. I’d move to commercial radio but the adverts I find too annoying.

I don’t mind Gary Davies but he’s only doing that slot until Vernon Kay comes in and he gets annoyingly boring after a week. The Ten to the Top is mediocre and not a patch on Pop Master.
I've already got DAB sorted in the car in preparation for Ken on Greatest Hits Radio. I think like many others I’ll give up on Radio 2 as like many others I don’t tend to flip between radio stations like you do with a TV.

As soon as Bob Harris and Johny Walker finish it won't be worth saving a spot on the radio for it...

I'll see. I already swap to Calgory 105 on the internet when Vine comes on - sometimes swap back in time for Cox.

Problem was, Hot Rod Harriet retired from Calgary 105 a year or so ago, and I'm not really gelling with her replacement, nice though she is - I've had the odd comment read out on Canadian radio, while sat in the UK

Bug gered up my Friday listening when they moved him though.

I used to listen to it when Sara Cox did it - but I guess they got the message loud and clear when he stood in for her - suddenly the music was being played by the right person - the entire programme sounded right as its exactly what it was when he played the same music when it was new.

And being complained about by anyone over 45 in the 80's

Think I'll keep it after the trial. 4 quid a month is worth it to not have to endure the s***e ads every five minutes. It covers several other stations like Absolute and others too.

This may be a stupid question but what do you hear on GHR when everyone else is listening to adds, I presumed that the DJ would stop talking or playing music when the adds were on.
I can’t get GHR on DAB where I live it’s only available on AM and I won’t make the step back to 1940‘s technology, though if I download the app on my phone I should be able to connect it from the headphone socket directly to my amplifier and listen to it that way.
£4 per month is a no brainier to be able to listen to a descent station and not have adds.

This may be a stupid question but what do you hear on GHR when everyone else is listening to adds, I presumed that the DJ would stop talking or playing music when the adds were on.

I'm also interested - I quite enjoyed Simon Mayo confessions, and Ken. But listening tonight for the first time - LOADS of ads!

If your phone has a headphone connection and your car has an Aux connection you could connect to the car via a lead using the App to transfer to the cars stereo
