I'm not keen on any of the karcher or nilfisk pressure washers.
Anything with an Interpump pump, or failing that, an AR pump. Proper metal made for every day use.
... Or a Harben, but its not very practical for little jobs!
I agree that the Interpump is one of the best pumps on the market but there a lot of pumps I would put ahead of an AR.
A work colleague christened them annovi shi77y and it was an apt name. Nearly identical design to the interpump but they use cheap quality materials and components to build their pumps.
The coating on the pistons fails and they corrode. The seals and valves have a shorter service life. They often use alloy cylinder heads that quickly corrode. Trying to remove the valve plugs from an AR alloy cylinder head is a nightmare task.
A pump that is as good if not better than an interpump is a Hawk. They mostly make large pump for industrial applications but they have some small pumps too.
Cat and Speck are a step up in price but you are into proper industrial quality.
