Seems to tick boxes that would make it really good value - 100bar working pressure, brass cylinder head, steel pistons, induction motor, etc etc

I know all the bad news about Karcher's consumer stuff but the professional stuff doesn't seem to be the same. No-brainer or stay away?

It's only 6.5 litres per minute at 100 bar. That will struggle to wash anything apart from loose dirt.

Decent enough for washing cars? I should have mentioned that was my application for it. It definitely seems low but I thought that might actually help with run time, as I'd likely be running off of raised buckets or water butts as often as mains.

Is it? I bought a Karcher K2 in 2017, used every 2-3 weeks, sometimes more frequently and it still works perfectly. Like the one above, it doesn't have a high flow rate but in the increasingly metered water supply we have in UK, is that a bad thing? A sponge and a bucket or two still works OK to do the actual cleaning with the jetwash for wetting & rinsing.

I have moved away from buying Karcher pressure washers. Still got one at home.

Paint sprayer opposite my workshop - really uses a pressure washer - he reckons Nilfisk pressure washers tend to have twice the service life of a Karcher. Plus a Nilfisk comes with a 5yr warranty.

So when my workshop Karcher failed - I bought a blue Nilfisk - I've been pleased with it...

Even with brass head I'd still tread carefully with Karcher - if those pro models have been around for 10 years I'd be more convinced about them...(Another kranzle here)

We have an old Karcher which has been very good for 15 plus years. There's a Karcher official outlet on ebay.

My k10ts was £240 plus a £100 seal kit, plus some oil.

I stuffed up one of the seals in its repair, but, fortunately, i was able to put the old one (which was one of the ones that was not knackered) back in, so didnt have to spend more.

So im in for about £350.

A Nilfisk Core 140 can be had for a bit less than this Karcher or a Core 150 can be had for a bit more... They both use universal motors rather than induction, not a huge deal but I'd prefer induction. I'll have to look further into both.

I had a look but they're weirdly selling reconditioned ones of this machine for more than a new one... Not sure if they didn't get the memo of a price change?

I like the idea of the 5 yr warranty.....although the 5 year warranty on Karcher domestics does suggest in their case that 5 years might actually be the expected life of the machine
The karcher pro has 1 year warranty.....but that is extendable by paying more money to karcher (karcher don't say how much and what the max warranty period would be?).... In effect buying a subscription to own a pressure washer. This is the new retailing way....

I've had 3 karchers and they have all failed at the outlet elbow inside the case...bought a cheap titan to replace them and it's been spot on for a good while now, personally I wouldn't touch karcher again now

karcher is on my never again list , i cant see £200 odd worth being exceptional quality anyway
