Hello all.
I put the husqvarna k760 back together today and tried to prime it. It would not prime so took the carb unit off and put the inlet tube that comes from the tank then to the carb onto the primer bulb then primed it. it primed the bulb was full of petrol so put the carb back on then tried to prime it it primed but had petrol run out were the handle is. (Photo)i tried to start it but it will not start I have put petrol in the spark plug hole and it starts runs for a bit then stops. can any one tell me please why it is leaking

Should have taken the advice from Joepro and put a full cylinder kit in. Instead of just the piston and rings
I put a pressure test on today and as you can see in the Photos it has not made a lot of a difference if at all.I just do not know what to do next as I do not know if you can buy just the cylinder head or do you have to get the full kit

Yes looks like you need a cylinder kit to make it good, the original cylinder has bad wear or scores if the new piston and rings didn't work

When looking for a new cylinder kit just make sure its correct for your engine as stated before you need to measure the intake ports before ordering.

Hello Joepro I measured the ports there are twenty seven mm so it puts it at pre 2013

Update on husqvarna k760 put new piston and rings new cylinder head put compression test on now I have less pressure than I had before. It starts if you put petrol in the pot I just do not know what to do. Bin it or not

Are these parts oem, or aftermarket? Is the decomp plugged, if its still there is it leaking or open?

Has I have found out that one of the screws that holds the cylinder head on will not tighten up properly I think that the thread is not good.explaining that I am not getting a good compression. Has any one had the same problem. I think the only thing I can do is re drill and re tap the hole starting with a tapper then a plug tap. If any one can help I will be very pleased

These are m5 threads I believe. I have used V coil brand helicoil repair kits on several saws with perfect results. That's your best bet. When at it I would coil all 4x bolts then refit cylinder.

Are you sure the intake ports are OK? Because even with a loose bolt you should be getting good compression with a new cylinder kit. Or maybe your compression tester is faulty. Have you any other good working 2 stroke equipment to test the compression on to compare readings?

Yes I will have a look at ports.I was giving a v heilcoil repair kit. as you can see by the Photos. I will try the compression tester to see if it working properly on a lawnmower will this make a difference the cylinder head gasket has some oil on it must the gasket be completely dry to work correctly. thank you for you help

Up date on husqvarna have getting it running. But still can not find out how the petrol is still leaking from the carburettor. I put a length of fuel pipe from the carb to the primer so I could prime it and look under to see if I could see were the fuel was coming from the petrol drips from the carb but I can not see were from. the fuel pipes intake and outtake are good The screws on the bottom of the carb are ok. The diaphragm etc in the carb were all new and replaced. As for the cylinder head I put heilcoil 5m in all four screw holes and it worked fine

Have you tried lowering the fuel lever height, often fuel pouring from the carb is either that or stuck needle or a damaged needle/seat.
