Just ordered a Portamig 235

Well I just bit the bullet, been pondering on it for the last few weeks, ummming and ahhing, but now realised I will probably end up being too late for Christmas!

So ordered a 235 and a new Esab mask (as I have a cheapy at the moment).

Now I just have to master mig welding (we need a mig welding smiley )

Well done and welcome to the Portamig club . You should find it easy to get up to speed with MIG welding. Do let us know how you get on and post some photos of your welds if you need advice.

Don't know if it's me, but I can weld better with my Portamig than any other machine I've used (not that many). You won't be disappointed.

I am very excited

Now just got to wait until Christmas to get it.

Need to get some gassssss.. BOC offer here I come.

Got the ancillaries (torch etc) very quickly before christmas and collected the gas just after New Year.

Now I've just got to try and continue to be patient for them to hopefully hurry up and build the actualy welder I'm hoping it will be here this week as I need it soon for a project.

Yipppeeee it has arrived

Got it set up tonight - very pleased. Just need to fill up gas bottle now, there was considerably less in that cylinder than I had imagined

Only think I can say is the instructions are rather, uhumm, vague, but it is not complicated to set up. I assumed the little square bits of metal with a hole in them were to go between the little casters at the front and the base of the welder?
