I got this welder from my dad, it is a Lincoln Weld Pak 100. Just want to be sure before I try this out, I will be welding my Lawn mower Deck and probably just laying on my garage floor but maybe outside. Is it safe to weld in the yard, I mean other than the grass catching fire, I just don't want to get electrocuted! Otherwise I'll just do it in the garage. Next question is what I'm going to weld. This is a Murray Riding mower, piece of junk deck and the idler pulley is mounted to a sort of z shaped piece of metal that is to thin to withstand the belt pressure so it bends and the belt keeps coming off. I just need some advice on best way to fix this and here is a pic of the part I need to reinforce, that pulley should be setting parallel and not crooked like it is.
