Just joined with a project !

Hi -

I just discovered the Forum yesterday after doing a search on Google. I didn't expect to find anything so friendly and informative !

I have started a project to restore my Vauxhall Cresta ( which I got back unexpectedly after 24 years ! ) I was beginning to get despondent when I started uncovering all the rust - I was beginning to think that I was mad to attempt this. My original plan was to get the welding done professionally but I think the cost will be too much.

After looking through the Forum I have decided to give it a go myself - I've never done any welding before, but I've signed up to an evening college class starting in January. Looking forward to getting started !

Thanks Alex - it's going to be a labour of love !

I see you stay in Paisley - I bought up a stock of spares from Vauxhall Dealer Potties of Paisley when they were closing down around 1981 - still got a couple of bits I will be able to use !
