If maf shows fault it could be illogical boost rather than incorrect reading.
Check all boost pipes (use a tiny bit of brake cleaner if needed if confident) usually split the one from drivers headlight backwards.
Readings for maf seem stable and correct, nominal expected and actual boost settings seem to tie in. Mate is gonna pressurise the boost pipes and vac pipes tomorrow. He’s as keen to get it sorted as me.
Finally sussed! Boost sensor playing up. Now pulls from 1000rpm in 3rd without issue, and pulls a lot stronger than it has in a while, also no more slurping gurgling sounds at 3/4 throttle.
ok , here i go ,,, i dont want negatives on this ,,, but i throw a taste of fully synthetic two stroke in every thing i drive , every once in a while , say half a litre to a tank , every four or five tanks , , always have and always will , but then i have a computer to turn off fault codes if they do pop up ,,, and i dont own anything wit add blue , but if i did , id still do the same , fuel these days is mixed down to a price , not up to a standard ,,, additives by the very nature of the thing need adding , that costs money , cheap fuel no additives , so i just add some , bikes , boat lorry cars and even my mower all get the same treatment. and i think things actually run better. no turbo hassles , no injector problems , no diesel bug, and my boat sat with 1100 gallons of diesel on board.
many wont agree , but i dont mind.
Mk6 golf GTI DSG mate including the flappy paddles which don’t do anything. Straight swap although can be expensive with the airbag. Other options are Scirocco or even T6 flat bottomed wheel.
if you haven't already nows the time to get a decent (second) alarm and immobiliser and a disklok
many many of these disappear and reappear stripped out because the resale scene tax on spares.
