just checking what torch I have?

Good evening all, I'm going to order a gas lens kit for my torch and I just wanted to confirm what type it is. I assume its the wp17 18 26 ? I've no idea what the wp numbers relate to.
Also are the gas lens's that good at saving gas? They seem cheap enough so I thought I'd give them a go.... Its a kempi btw

Hi. The kemppi ttm line is usually gas cooled valved torches but the ttm22 doesn't appear in any catalog that I've laying around here. and that one is clearly not a valve torch
Is it an old model maybe? I also looked online and the ones listed in catalogs are the same ones that I've in paper.

Yr torch looks like its takes the same hardware as a wp17

Remove the ceramic and photo the collet body/gas lens then we'll know for sure. I agree with above it looks wp17 but to be 100% get that photo.

The numbers Kemppi use on torches typically relate to amperage rating which should make that about equivilant to a #26

WP numbers are kinda random... a #17 is gas cooled and rated for 150A DCEN, #18 = watercooled and rated to 350A DCEN while a #26 is gas cooled again with a 200A DCEN rating. All 3 of them use exactly the same consumables (collets, collet bodies, backcaps etc) as your torch

The clear cups mentioned are CK gas savers which is a slightly different take on gas lenses. In CK speak, whether it's for their gas savers or 'regular' gas lenses, 17/18/26 torches all use 3 series consumables http://www.ckworldwide.com/3series.pdf the part numbers in brackets are industry standard i.e. a 45v25 is a 1.6mm gas lens for 17/18/26 torches regardless of whether it's branded as Weldcraft, Parweld, Binzel or cheapnese etc

A WP9 is a 125A gas cooled torch, a wp20 is the watercooled version of it (same consumables etc) rated to 250A DCEN. In CK speak these use 2 series consumables

Don't you mean Pyrex (borosilicate glass), perspex is plastic .

Sorry to jump in a bit late but all you need for the front end of your torch is,might I suggest 2.4mm bits,are Gas Lens 45v26,collet 45v24,short back cap 57Y02,ceramic 54N15,Insulator 54N01.The Gas Lens will improve your gas flow
