Railing for an office block...had to be done this morning to go off to the powdercoaters in the morning, took a record 1 hour 5 mins inc cutting up the stock and messing about doing the cranks on the RHS posts. Profiles were delivered last week.

Galv first yes, they do galv and pc at the same plant, so it's just..send it to the powdercoaters

Very nice, and very quick. At first glance, I thought it was sitting on the floor, but it's on your (rather large) welding table. That's a proper table.

The table's still not big enough! Thank god for adjustable stands! Always on the look out for the adjustable threaded legs/baseplates that scaffolders use. Legth of scaffold tube welded to a big lump of steel as a base, then put the stand in upside down in the top of the tube. Ideal. Piece of angle welded to the top at 45 degrees great for pipe/stock

We've done some other, longer ones on the same job. The panels are welded up then it is all bolted together with stainless M16 stud and dome nuts. They are there just for cosmetic reasons on this one - make them all match! no point making seperate panels, just weld it all up in a 'one er'
