Ok, let me have it, pros, cons, do's and don'ts.
I've read that you can hook up two or three batteries in series and weld w/ proper cables/clamps. I have been fighting a SIP handymig for years and it's about to find a local dumpster. All I need is to occasionaly spot weld part of my trailer or other small parts. Would it be worth my while to buy a couple batteries and carry them seperate in my truck tool box? Seems like it would be handy to use and just re charge them after short use. Any experiences?? Am I wasting my time?
