If the 13a socket on the side of that is active it looks like it might make a useful mobile power bank.
I wonder what sort of output it can handle?
A mobile 32a socket with 30mins run time would be pretty useful!

Main problem I see using it to charge a car is it getting nicked the instant its left unattended.

On a side note, would it not be easy enough to share charge between 2 ev's?
My Samsung phone will do that even without a cable...

I think what it really needs is an internal charging socket in the boot of the car. Then it would be like carrying a spare can of fuel with you - you run low, open the boot, and plug in your battery pack (but being internal, no trailing cables or hardware sitting on the pavement waiting to grow legs)

used to be 30 miles in UK France 15Ks between Aires or services

Some of our (diesel) roadside service vans have inverters and EV chargers in them.

I just tow them to charge points.

Jump packs for EV's? It's all getting bit silly now isn't it.
They'd be better having a small petrol generator conveniently hidden in the boot or even under the bonnet to power the car...

I can see the logic there was one in nz last week that conked out in a multi storey carpark blocking the ramp for a few hours. I’ll have to find the story. A jump pack might have been just the answer.

There was a Nissan Leaf that packed up in a very narrow steep hill near us. This was on a Friday evening, the breakdown service turned up & couldn’t shift it as everything had locked up. They rang the emergency Nissan help desk to get a recording ”we are open Monday to Friday 8 til 5” it was stuck there blocking the road all weekend. I know as recovery services get more familiar with them, this will be a thing of the past though.
