Jotun87: compatible seam sealer & stonechip

evening, long time lurker but hoping to get some help now

I’ve recently gone back to bare metal on the underside and arches of my mr2 mk2 and have put down Jotun87 as the first layer of paint.

As I have had some really bad experiences with paints in the past I want to make sure I’m using compatible products to work with it.

Seam sealer - will tiger seal suffice? sikagard? STP?

Overcoating - I want something on top of the Jotun to give it a stonechip effect. To the arches, sills (not jotun) and underside of the car

I have access to a sprayer, although I’m not massively confident with it yet.

Not much will react with jotun 87. I tiger seal will be fine or something like sikaflex 221, that's also over paintable.

With regards to overcoating I would say upol 2k raptor would be my recommendation. You can tint it to colour it or get it in black. It is quite spendy though.

I used Gravitex on my arches. I'm happy enough with it but thought the 3M that Jim used on his Celica (see projects) looks a nicer finish. I did mine with a 24l Aldi air comp and found it surprisingly easy. I thought the stuff would go everywhere but it was pretty easy to control. I did go a bit overboard and put it on too thick in places, so watch for that. It's hard to see where you've been already sometimes.
