Well early yesterday i started to finish off removing the small remaining sealant etc, mostly around the sill areas that took a lot of time. Then had to clean the garage out from all the dust and ended up with a carry bags worth of dust/sealant after the clean up.
Anyway once fully finished, i started to take a close look over the floor pan and i still kept spotting small bits that didn't come off. I tell ya some of the stuff was a pain to get off, must have had good adhesion in those areas.
It was getting dark due to cloud etc so used the spot light and that showed up even more bits i missed out, depending on where/how the light shone on, it kept showing up more missed bits. It is now all gone completely, i then started to key the steel back, could only do a small area of this due to time.
So i under estimated how long it would take, today i shall be applying the first coat, the car and garage will have been over 20 degrees through the night which will help. I will apply another coat late tomorrow which will be 24 hrs after, this was advised by Jotun. Through the night the temp will be over 20 degrees.
I like the summer hardener because it gives me more lead time, so in 7 days it will be fully cured which gives me time to apply the Raptor after 2 days of the two coats being dried.
Some areas that was very rusty seems to show surface rust with the spot light, although this primer is surface tolerant so im sure it will be fine.
