Joining tube

Hi, my 1st photo here, so hope it works.

Question is how do you work out these cuts, and cut them. I've seen somewhere, a print which i suppose you wrap round then cut, but it's obviously not a flat cut, ie with a saw, looks like some kind of circular cut.

Any help would be great.

P.s. I'm a bumb nut, so go easy with me
