Joggler, joddler & rolastep type things

Looking at buying a Sykes-Pickavant Rolastep flanging tool - Does anyone have any experience with them?
Considered the hand crunching ones & pneumatic type, but believe the rolastep deals with curves better - Is it worth shelling out £90?

I have a rolastep,bought it years ago,about 30 quid I think ......very easy to use,works equally as well on straights as it does curves.
Worth it if you do a lot of panel work

Excellent news Daz, apart from how cheap you bought yours of cousre

Would two wheel arches be considered excessive? I'll look at it as along term investment....

Only 2 wheel arches could do them with me pliers .
I have a hand operated set which are perfect for the smaller job like you have. Bought mine some 26 years or so ago think they were about £30 too..
I have extended the handles on mine so they are easier to grip together.
If you have the compressor to use the air type much much easier on your joints, my thumbs are Knackered now so any help with gripping helps.

Youre 'aving a laugh - £91, must be a magic tape measure!

The rolastep uses a ratchet. so no 'hand of steel' required, and will follow a curve: the pneumatic looks unwieldly and noisey

No not magic it just measures how long it takes to do the job DOH.
The air ones are a noisey little beast but once running follow the metal nicely even around bends as the head articulates.

Does it measure in years, it will need too...

That's part of the problem: Noisey comp & air tools give my neighbours the hump - Doing my upmost to keep the Big Bad Wolf from the council from banging on the door doesn't come cheap...

Hope the other half is understanding she will have to help when you go for a pee cos you wont be able to hold it !!! after a day using the joggler .

Thanks mate: don't thinks she was too impressed with my demonstration of the handling technique she would need to adopt, whilst she was on video conference with her parents...

The rolastep requires minimal effort,especially with a half inch ratchet

heres mine roughly anyway, mine have straight handles, now extended by about 10 inches .
But more than up to the job of setting the edge of a panel.
