To repair the bodywork on my UMM Transcat I need to let in quite a large amount of 2mm thick strips (the body is made from 2mm
) as lack of rustproofing from new means joinst have rotted away.
The thought of butt welding such a large amount is daunting so I'm considering joddling the sections and plug welding as it's non structual areas.
The main sections are around 48" long so a joddle on either side of the repair section (approx 3-4" wide) will be needed and I'm not sure how that could be achieved.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks.

built like tanks generally but the wipers were abysmal, very low geared steering, poorish paint, bearings in gear box poor quality & when you had them apart there was a mod to enlarge a oil transfer hole in box this help oil circulation for road use, Tried a couple as a dealer did not sell well.
