Just seen this on ebay:

Oh, and what's SHS and RHS mean?

SHS- Square hollow section...
RHS- Rectangular hollow section (box section)

Then a load more- the more common ones...

CHS, Circular hollow section (tube)
PFC- Parallel flange channel
UB- Universal beam
UC- Universal column
HRSE- Half round square edge (convex top flat)
HRSE- Half round feather edge
RSA- Rolled steel angle

As for price, probably about £100-150 over the top for that lot.
Better off buying from a stockholder than ebay

Take a look at their welding services: TIG @ £11.75 for 150mm, MIG @ £10 for 300mm. How realistic are these figures? Anyone here fancy setting up in competition? I guess they get lots of idiots turning up with any old rubbish they want sticking together, so I'm guessing its more 'hassle' money than outright materials, expenses and profit.

mishka it depends what you are welding, bit of 70mm shs to a flat plat so it can be bolted down form a bolt down post £10 is a little high, ok if someone asked me to do one yes i would say £10 a minimum charge but if there was 5 to do, i would charge £20-30. on the other hand if you had 2 bits of flat top and bottom with 5, 10mm round uprights connecting the flats, there is no way i would weld that for £10

Just out of interest I ran all the sizes through Parker's and their price comes out at a tad over £278 including vat so that's way over the top.

often the case with flea bay, much of the stuff sold on there is often over priced. think its peoples mentality because its on ebay it must be cheap, wrong. You have to watch ebay, quality stuff that gets sold on there is very often well below the price you would expect to pay, cheap stuff almost always fetches more than it should.
