cant go wrong with bosch ones, weve got about 10 at work, we give them some right hammer. 110v though
black and decker are ok, you want one with variable speed though for steel etc as the blades get hot very quick even with lots of oil
It replaced an orange black and decker that I killed after years of use. The Hitachi is brilliant. The base is a cast construction, not presed steel, so doesn't bend, it has a light to illuminate the blade, and cuts accurately in straight lines, something the old one wouldn't do. It's very well made. I thought the lack of variable speed trigger would annoy me but actually I found it much easier to use this one with a speed dial and on/off trigger because you aren't trying to regulate the trigger pull as well as make sure it's lined up and moving at a good speed.
