JCB 3CX workshop manual

I'm after a workshop manual for a 1982 JCB 3CX, as my old man has just bought a cheap one and will need some work doing. Can anyone send me one or tell me where I can download a copy?

When I had mine I found that the North American 'backhoe' manual was available for free download somewhere on the web and actually covered the US version with fold down stabilisers as well as the UK version with drop down vertical rear legs

Search for publication number 9803/2357 but be aware that it is 45.5 mByte long !

I would think so, There's a lot of info on jcb's on there.

I have a manual downloaded onto my phone its for a project 7 (suits my 1989 grey cab) I'm pretty sure yours is more or less the same other than rear axels. If anyone wants a copy send me a pm with your email address and I'll try dig it out and send it over

Turns put it was fine. It looks like a site moderator uploads all the pdfs so they aren't put there by randoms. Downloaded and scanned it. All fine, so opened it and just what I needed and the manual I don't have for the tractor.

How much is 'cheap' for an old 3CX? I have limited need for one, but it would be bloody handy on the couple of occasions that I do.

7-8k if you are lucky. They go quick at that price. Cheaper is generally with a list of problems. Finding one without VAT is harder than it should be!

Good, that makes it all safer too. It looks like a useful site. Glad I stumbled across it. The backhoe section is very JCB... shame I bought a Ford backhoe!
