no quill feed on a miller is a bummer as u have to raise the table which is heavy to take minor cuts

I can understand that could be a pain and not as convenient as having a quill feed, but also I can't see a horizontal cutter bar or end support bracket on the Harrison mill, the top support is laying in the tray. Time to make a phone call...
If you are pushed for space the Arboga mill-drills are a good bet as they have a very small floor footprint. I have one & its a very capable & beautifully made little machine.
As for warco mills we have two of them at college & they are awful, noisy, rattly & shoddily made.

Back in the 80's and 90's they were quite popular with tool makers. Strong reliable machines just the job for constant use.

Re Arboga's, A lot of them were installed in schools in the 70's so are relatively common. They are very good quality & unlike most Mill Drills do a good job milling. Only problem with them is the motor is a 3 phase 2 speed job that is built in to the top of the machine. This means the spindle bore is a morse taper with a holding collar & washers, if these are missing they are expensive.
I have also heard that they will not run on a phase converter due to the way the motor is wound, not sure if its true, I have 3 phase so im alright jack!

Thats not god them as I was thinking of either waiting for an Arboga to crop up or see if I can get info on this machine.....although no one seems to know what it is. Its supposed to be a drill/mill.

It looks similar to my Perrin, which is classed as a jig borer... X-Y table, quill feed both by handwheel and vernier, head cranks up and down and around column, lots of spindle speeds... the one you show isn't a Perrin but the design/principle is clearly similar.
So not really made to take side load?? I would be much better off waiting until I get some more cash as I think that would cost be £300 by the sound of things....

Yep, essentially that. Actually on closer inspection it looks like the one you show doesn't have the facility to rotate the head but that may just be the angle of the pic. It also looks like a very small drill chuck but the (?) collet chuck on the table looks to be a 30 Int or similar taper so maybe the machine size is deceptive.
On the Perrin you can change the quill spindle between 1MT, 2MT and a threaded one onto which you can screw chucks, boring heads etc.; the X-Y table is T-slotted, is big enough for a 4" vice and has 7" of travel each way so small parts can be milled as long as you don't take heavy cuts otherwise the head swivels around the column. I added DRO scales to make it quicker and more repeatable.
