Blacksmiths, innit. Pretty much everything here has been on fire at some point.Empty? Looks like it might have been in a fire?
Our road has a number of springs on it, there is a huge water pump factory over the road that was originally sited there because of this, so any well probably would not have been deep, also this was one of the first houses built here so could have been positioned due to the water supply. However there is no way to draw a bucket straight up out of it which I think makes it being a well unlikely.I have Just been in contact with my Building mate. He is also a ceramicist. Quote' The Keiler marmalade jar is early 20th Century (pre-WWI)' He also thinks that it was a dried out water well. That would explain the darker brickwork lower down and the narrow opening at the top.
I wasn't!a tad dissappointing for us all......I was sort of hoping for a skeleton
At least I've not lost it yet.Almost as exciting as Oak Island!
I'll be honest, I was hoping for something more exciting.
This is what you have been waiting for, the treasure haul
I'll be honest, I was hoping for something more exciting.
