Check the 'purchase' agreement for a Tesla. If I read it correctly you aren't buying the car but a 'licence' to operate it 'in perpetuity'. But no obligation on Tesla to maintain vehicle operability 'in perpetuity'. Even the most basic level of operability let alone the 'advanced features'.
Am I correctly remembering that Tesla car owners were recently unable to unlock the doors etc, because Tesla's servers were down?
Then I just don’t bother, not that I game anymoreI tried that with a few games
as i found out it was download only
we no longer sell the cd the problem is getting the cd
Wise words.Welcome to the brave new subscription based world, doesn't matter if it is music, software, or physical items.
Sadly been going this way for many years now - why sell somebody something once, when you can rent it to them forever.
The same can be said for all the "free services". Nothing is free. As the adage goes - if you aren't paying for the product, then the product is you (or your data thesedays).
I totally agree. According to Spotify Wrapped, I listened to 2300 artists this year, imagine buying 2300 albums!I often think that £10/month is crazy cheap for the vast, vast library that is Spotify. High quality music that can stream just about anywhere, and a user-friendly app, seamless integration between phone and computer etc.
I've never even considered buying music since I signed up, and my 50gb of mp3s I'd scrounged up as a teenager are completely redundant.
I have never purchased digital media exactly because of this … quite foreseeable really given corporate greed.
Oh no sir. You need to subscribe to our service to access your media now ….
Amazon music here. Well the wife and kids. Well worthwhile.I totally agree. According to Spotify Wrapped, I listened to 2300 artists this year, imagine buying 2300 albums!
Also, it's only £2.50 a month if you've got five mates who'll go in on a family plan with you.![]()

As for buying games. I've been using steam since it's inception. It's not gonna disappear anytime soon
Right o. Ea and epic both have they're own stores. They still peddle on steam.thats what you think
not what the corps are saying there on about pulling there software off of steam to be posted on there servers
once they do your games wont work from steam
after all its a money game
sites like amazon, itunes have proven that its viable to make more money on there servers than sites with them on
why do you think disney and the discovery are now only showing via there servers
games will soon follow the same as its now proven a viable money making system why should steam or muscia or films sites cream it all when they can instead
