"All hell" has not broken loose and neither of us have any worries about how it is progressing. It's just dragging on a bit (as it has for many) and we are fed up. That's it, no need to go House MD on me.

It's irrelevant anyway, I don't have one and I won't be getting one. I can scare myself with a medical dictionary without extra equipment.

I had one and other monitoring equipment. Threw them all in the bin. Scared myself ****less, because of that heart rate kept spiking.
A cheap oximeter is of little use and the professional ones are spendy. I had a spell of hyperventilation after covid last year because my diaphragm wasn't working like it should. Oximeter said oxygen 100% but still out of breath. A layman doesn't know what he's looking at.

I managed to hit 84% when I had a collapsed lung, they re-inflated it and wouldn't let me out until I got over 95%.

Latest update - still suffering from fatigue. Saturday week ago I did some light work, went to bed 12am Sat night & didn't get up until 11pm Sunday- yes that's 23 hours of more or less solid sleep!

The sleep thing is not helped by my deteriorating mental health. It always takes a dip at this time of the year (seasonal affective disorder), normally starts when the clock changes but the corvid started it earlier than usual. Getting back to the Men's Shed last week has helped things, when I get a few things sorted at home I'll be going to the MS more often.

I can't seem to get rid of a hacking cough either & I'm sometimes coughing up some horrible brown gunge!

Have you got a full spectrum light? I keep meaning to get one, they're meant to help a lot with SAD.

I've got a Lumi lamp and it does work.
