Gets the keys on Friday. Which is not good in some ways ax I have not finished the bolts or the concreting (last metre pad to go in) but they are both so happy and my grandson will have his own bedroom and space to play at last.

Great news 
Nearly never happened...it typified today what I always say. Whatever happens there is always someone worse of than you.
Phone call was made at 12.30 saying the keys would not be available until Monday. Dissapointed they sure we're BUT finding out the reason put things into perspective. The girl who had been living in the house, her mom had died earlier today. Things could have been even worse as she was one of the two named sellers (divorced couple) god only know what the legal ramifications would have been if the contracts had not already been signed and exchanged.

I wonder what the ramifications would be for the daughter if she had passed away before the sale?
The daughter was living in her mom and dads house and was renting they wanted to buy their own house but could not raise a mortgage on this house as it was more than their income allowed. They had moved out and completed on their new house so I don't think it would have impacted on the couple living there financially but obviously would still have had the same devastating emotional impact .
As for the sale itself my son seemed to be buying from the tenants father but paper work showed 2 names and according to the selling agents was the fathers ex wife. Obviously when they said the keys were not available as some one had died and the tenants (all being they were the seller's family) had been out for 2 weeks, it was a little bit of NO WAY. But in these circumstances sensitivity and respect is the key even if you feel like saying "where are the ×÷=%¥₩@#$ keys" we have vans etc booked.
