Would never entertain mixing for a slab or footings on site by hand or mixer.
Either ready mix or mixed on site by the lorry.

We was more interested in the walk behind machines, like a buffing machineNothing could be simpler. You just fit the grinding disc to a 9" grinder and use it like you would use a sander, holding it flat and using a sweeping motion across the slab. The biggest issue is going to be with airborne dust, if you don't have some form of extraction. Our grinders have a moulded silicone shroud but you could knock something up from a draught strip brush etc. You could add water to make a slurry but it still means a lot of clean up and you're going to get much higher wear on the diamonds.

You was my "we"me also!
Please let us know how you get onI've got one of those petrol walk behind floor grinder thingies... bought it to take the paint off a floor before I concrete on top of it
should be using it on the paint this week
I'm happy to lend it to anyone who needs it after that, could probably send it on a pallet each way
it's old old, but starts first full of the handel every time :-)
