ISO-Free 2-Pack

I am still considering spraying my Austin Seven myself when it is ready and am considering using ISO-free two pack paint. Is this any good? I found a thread on the subject which did not seem to rate it very highly, but the thread was ten years old and products change. I am considering the Jawal Paints product.

Can anyone give any advice?

I found that it just never went off fully. 1k acrylic seemed to do a better job. Nisocoat gets a mention on here from time to time, but I have no experience of it personally.

I've just sprayed part my Citroen DS with Nisocoat 2. I have a 14cfm (free air) compressor. I used a LVLP spray gun (spraygunsdirect) with a 1.8 tip. I fitted a silica gel dryer and a dust filter in the air line. I sprayed three coats, two were wet on wet. Life got in the way, the third coat went on after two weeks. I had to flat before the third coat (from the data sheet). I bought the paint from HMG.
I sprayed over Lechler 2K primer.
Without much effort, I achieved a good shine using just Farecla 3 and a yellow sponge in a Lidl polisher at 800rpm (thanks @rtcosic ).
A few areas needed flattening with 1200 wet and dry, wet.
You need plenty of light to see what you are doing.
For me, Nisocoat 2 and the LVLP gun were game changers.

ebay air drying /converted 2k does not get good reviews , i think i accidently got a rattle can of this and as per the reviews it stayed soft

Thank you for your replies, which are really helpful. I shall look into the Nisocoat and look for a suitable primer.
I shall give the Jawal paint a miss.

Epoxy primer is the only option. I used Jotun 87 on all the underside and non visible areas, applied with a brush or roller. Two or three coats.
On the visible parts I sprayed Lechler 2k epoxy, again using the LVLP gun. Three coats, wet on wet.
Don't forget I'm a complete amateur working on the principle of what is the worst that can happen.

No - Isocyanates tend to be in the hardener for 2K acrylics. Epoxies use a different system.

just because these product's don't have iso, don't be thinking its good for you and be spraying enclosed with a hanky over your mouth , can still make you ill

Bother. I had planned to use a clothes peg on my nose and hold my breath.

Seriously, though, I anticipate using one of the Gerson (?) charcoal masks.
