It's a hard game for a one man band to get right. Often to busy for one person but not enough work for 2 fulltime. If you get enough repetitive work might be able to get a labourer to do cutting etc .
It is hard for "a one man band" - to employee an extra person.

28days minimum holiday pay (to include bank hols - 29 this year).

Countless other expensive red tape items.
In real terms £15 an hour - looks more like £22.50.
