Hi guys, first post so bare with me.
Bought a big old mig welder, 400a 3 phase, box plus separate wire feed, didn't pay much and would rather get my money back in scrap than run up big bills then scrap it. Wired up plugged in and works just fine, then after a few uses no spark then randomly works again, last night nothing today first trigger fine second pull no spark. Checked wiring to wire feed seems fine and always spooling wire, the problem seems in the box somewhere.
Not getting the big clanking(contactor) noise when not sparking and no voltmeter movement, pushing contactors in makes the wire melt whether trigger pulled or not. Doesn't appear to be a pcb as such just one relay which looks like it's not manufactured any more from googling.
As you can tell I'm no electrician but can anyone help or point me in the right direction, the box is too big and heavy to move easily to take to a sparky.
Thanks M.
