Ah yes, i wasnt sure if it was series or parallel, clearly need a refresher from my o levelsTo increase the current, you would need to put the secondaries of the second & third transformers in parallel with the first one.
If you put them in series, the voltage will increase. Not sure what would have the best effect for your application. I think commercial sheet-metal spot welders start at about 2 volts and 2,000 Amps....
You can also increase the voltage by stuffing more turns of cable into the space in the core.
( The primaries, of course, will all be in parallel across the switched mains input.)
Whoah! i’ll dm you
You could probably get it to work better by beefing up the cable.Indeed secondary is from a jump cable
They have one but it's only tiny. The magnetron is the same though.I think they all would need a transformer of some description to step up the voltages?
A quick google suggests that inverter microwaves are able to regulate their power rather than being simply off or on, so I think the transformer would still be required (But thats only a guess!)
If you are paralleling the secondaries, the transformers need to be identical
Much appreciated , very kind of you , grateful for all the input here too@Sapre as per my pm you can have this trannie. If we can meet up in town even easier. On the cable front, years ago I was given I think some 50mm cable for my own (as yet unstarted, spot welder project). If I can find it you can have some too. I got it for nothing so I'm just paying it forward, Karma and all that.
