Just been doing the risk assessment on the stress test. And decided that it’s not wise. The potential of it going bang and several pieces of crap steel/ iron / or lesser metal turning into high speed bits. Doesn’t bode well

Quick inspection previous owner (no name) even spent time try to get the casting flash off so the swivel base worked. But obviously gave up cause it on rotates through 45 degs

its because all the diy merchants that know no better buying it from cheapo tool stalls at the bootsales they wouldn't know quality if it slapped them in the face . you see them coming out of b and q with handfuls and trolleys of materials happy as a pig in hiss

God that is utter garbage. I have a deap seated hate for this kind of rubbish.
Some cheap tools aren't too bad for some jobs but that vice is a whole new level of carp.

believe it or not I was working at a blokes house and he had cut the newel post off the bottom of the stairs to get the bed up all I saw was 4 guy ropes holding it up and I wondered what the score was. he glued it with no nails and expected it to work flamin idiot it takes all sorts

The Mr zippy fixings work well.
Still prefer a lap or bit of broomstick though.

yea I fixed it for him augered a 20 mm hole in each and stuck a bit of brush handle in with resin
