Is there an advantage in using gas lenses?

The thing I noticed most was I could knock a couple of lpm off with a lens compared to standard.

I found they needed more gas flow but they give a better coverage with less turbulence

Are you using a huge cup. If so that makes sense as the gas flow needs to be higher for bigger cups even on lenses. Like for like cup sizes though if your using more through a lens then something is wrong.

Like Richard says pal, size for size it should be lower. What size ceramic you got on and is it one of the 'compensating' sized ones?

I've heard about some cheap fine china lenses that only have one mesh layer. If anyone compares such lens with a standard collet they could possibly have difficulties finding a difference.
