Just picked a dewalt one up from screwfix. I was looking for a reason to buy one and I think you're right, that this looks like the right tool.Beg, steal, borrow or rent [or even buy ] one of these CLICKY.

Yeah - the good news ( ) seems to be that the cowboy builders only attached the wall board and ceiling to within 2" of the join so that's all that needs to be cut.Multitool...and to keep this thread on topic...make your own extended multi-tool blade by welding 2 together so will reach all the way behind the coving.
In a pinch I made on out of an only hacksaw blade welded to the end of a trashed blade (it was sunday evening and the job needed to be done!)

Check for electrics...people do some odd things!

Yup...and also when you reach down to the floor you drag all of the crud up the wall and ruin all your work too!They don't plaster behind skirting board for a reason
They don't plaster behind skirting board for a reason. It transmits any damp up the wall and sends the skirting black and mouldy.
