Is there a foot pump (air) that doesn't break?

cant run a lead out to the lawnmower out in the field if it needs a bit of air

In what situation would a mower just need a bit of air "in the field" assuming it starts from somewhere with power?

I guess I'm just lazy? I have a big petrol air compressor and also a tractor PTO compressor.

The last time i used one of those small electric things, it broke.

Maybe they have gotten better now.

Yeah, 12v ones all seem to be garbage unless spending crazy amounts. I mean mains powered ones. even the cheapest one will do ok for tyre inflation. Now there are cordless ones which are ok too but they aren't cheap.

By the time I've switched on, unwound the hose/pulled the retracting hose out to the car, and waited until the compressor has some pressure in the tank, even if we ignore the couple of hundred quid its just added to my electric bill , I've connected the Kismet, a few keep fit steps and it's back up to pressure.

Blowing a tyre up from flat, seating a tyre, blowing up a load of trials tyres, then yes, mains compressor.

Battery powered ones do away with all that, and can do fully flat tyres to fully up several times over on one battery. No faff with leads ( though it will run off a car 12v socket if needed). I’ve got a foot pump, 3 hp compressor in the garage and a pcl tyre inflator.

Not touched any of them since I got this a couple of years back. If you’ve got a preferred brand of power tool already then you will probably have a stash of batteries. Easy enough to chuck in the boot of the car, carry to a field for for your mower…

It’s one of those things I didn’t know I even wanted, but now couldn’t do without.
