Is The Clarke MIG90EN Any Good Anyone

Just seen this welder on the web. I'm after a cheap welder for under £160 and this welder looks alright, gas and gasless. If you know any more detail about it or own one can you please help me out.

It can be a small welder, as I need it for small thin sheet metal (1-3mm) and I won't use much wire as it won't need to be strong welds.

It's for art work not for Strength.

The Clarke's are good and most here recommend them. I had a 130EN and really liked it.

For your use, it should be fine.

Which is better, Clarke MIG90EN or Sealey S0771 Mini MIG Welder?

I'm ready to start some small metal art work, as tried round a friends house.

I'm after a VERY small MIG welder for under 160 pounds (symbol won't work). It does not need to be powerful, infact the lower amp the better. I will be using it to welt small metal rods togeter.

I won't be using a lot of wire but I would like the welder to use gas.

These two welders I've seen are the best in the price range, but which one.

If you know anything, or can help, I would be very grateful.

Clarkes are good Dan but I would go bigger, second hand maybe. Its not just the advertised amps that matter but how well they handle them. you wont regret it!! I use a 160EN daily for auto repairs (sills, floors, some chassis) and its excellent. Dont skimp because you dont need it today, tomorrow hasnt come yet so be ready

Try a smiley at the start of your next thread, its prettier that a 'oh my god its the end of the world' one your using at the moment.

I meant a bigger Clarke Dan, they all go down as far so just allow more head room if you can afford it - just in case.

Buy the Clarke 90 and be done with it.

Nothing else in the price range that I've tried works nearly so well. The others I have tried have been difficult to use leading to poor results. I've not tried a Siegen so can't comment on Sealey's budget effort.

Could you limit the number of new threads on this topic - seem to be a few of them about.

I bought a clarke 90EN last year and use it to weld 1.5mm wall tube and other light work plus use it gasless too For me its a cracking little welder for light work. Just made my daughter a mini clothes rack for her dolls clothes out of 10mm square tube. My wife nearly bought one from a toy shop (£25) until I said I could make one of those....

For me its the Clarke
