Yes it had a slightly bigger gap and I thought it was gonna burn through and must have moved faster. I need to prepare the joints better.

And then I could get a crap weld for reasons I don't know which was ******* me off, even when I would have went over it too fix it it still would leave bits.
I run 2 runs on this piece of scrap of 3.2 and 4.0 when I got her and I thought this is going to be easy now but I was wrong.View attachment 242750
I would prefer mig welding all day long as I can stop and start without seeing a poor joint and more consistent and not worrying about ghe stick run out midway through a nice weld.
I think its time I got a bigger mig to do this sort of stuff.
