is my telwin broken, or do i weld wrong ?

my telwin mastermig 200 is weird, because i can weld with other migs...but not with this one.

so can there be some broblem and where? if one of three phases are missing, what does mig do ?

because now when i weld, the metal parts seems to be rejecting each other and the torch.. so that the arching welding ----------- is not looking properly and doesnt last anything. i must take a video of it!

Sounds like your gas flow is set to hurricane level!
What output is your regulator set at?

Ok. must try to lower the flow.. this is same flow as my 240V machine.. but maybe there are smaller pipes..(i took the bottle from the smaller, that one works better, but it have not enough power to my needs...)

the gas flow was set to "5" out of "16", now i lower it to "1-2" and it starts to weld better..
can i change the voltage higher ?.

soon i will take my 3 phase MMA and my smaller mig, and connect them all to the same big mig, so there is like 1000 watts in stead of 200 :-G

(why my machine has 2 different minus wires ? is it cheaper that way to manuf. or? )

I doubt you are going to be able to connect mig wlders together, it would take an electronics engineer and a machine shop to achieve this,
even then all they would have done is waste their time and money.
Generators that are wound similarly can be run together and load balancing set up, but no one would ever want to try what you suggest.

If both the wires you mention are actually marked minus, they are there to change the welders inductance,
which alters the characteristics of the weld, and it costs a little extra to achieve this.
You can test this by putting the earth in one then the other and observe the difference.
One minus will suit dip transferee, like in lighter welding, the other will be better for spray transferee
which is used at higher amperage for steel, and especially for aluminium welding though
the polarity of your welding torch will need to be reversed for aluminium.

Only if he is running self shielded fluxcore on steel with DCEN. If he's running gas shielded solid wire mig, it's always DCEP, regardless of wire type.
