Hands me the £350 cash then spends the next 5 minutes incredulous and begging for a "luck penny" back. He couldn't believe I refused to give it. I said we made a deal at £350 and I will not accept any less as I already clearly communicated before he agreed to buy.
It's a cultural thing. A bit like if you leave a tip in a restaurant in China, they'll be mightily offended. If you forget to leave a tip in the US, you'll get glared out of the establishment, or worse!Not sure why some people feel the need to beg for an extra few £ off. I never do it and it's embarrassing to say the least. If I agreed a reduced price with someone I turn up with the cash, hand it over and say thanks. Not worth p"ssing someone off over a tenner.
