My elderly relative has a £150 shopping trolly. I know, I didn't know RR had started making them 
The frame is thin tubuler steel. The handle is too. However, the handle connects to the frame with something like a plastic ferule & short length threaded plast tube. There is the male external threaded plastic on the trolly, and the internally threaded female threaded plastic connector on the handle side that screws on to the male part on the frame. The plastic is the 'week link' and the handle has snapped off at that point.
I want to make a stronger fix. If the tube was 15mm I could use a brass olive with a compression fitting.
