Usually I go with the flow when threads or posts are deleted but am slightly upset that a thread about sheds and tools has been deleted in it's entirety.
The reason given was a naming and shaming post and I admit to being responsible but only as an objective and useful post.
The company in question has a bad reputation and I gave a link to a site that objectively shows actual customer complaints about them. I did not however use their actual name.
The post in question also included comments on tools that someone requested, tools which had been delivered by the company in question. So the post had relevance.
I feel that members have been deprived of the information, opinions and comments in the thread and a legitimate heads up on a bad company. If my post was in serious breach of the rules, why wasn't just that deleted instead of the whole thread ?
Recently I have noticed that moderation has become more intrusive, and not just where I'm concerned. There is a point where it becomes excessive and unnecessary.
This is not intended to be criticism of the moderators just my opinion but I would like to see that thread reinstated even if it's minus my errant post.
