Well got the Hudl2 unpacked and working, it's difficult not to compare it to the Ipad which I use occasionally when the ankle biter is up, the Ipad is bigger, the retina display is brighter and sharper, has better sound and a much better camera and of course a much higher price.
So... back to the Hudl2: Nice sharp picture, switches between screens nicely, runs freeview Tv no problem at all, runs a film off the SD card perfectly and transfers through HDMI to the big screen nicely.
The camera is quite good in daylight but not as good in light challenging areas, indoors appears a bit grainy.
The speakers are good if you have them facing you, not always the easiest thing to manage when using the tablet because they are on the back, sound is perfect through earphones though.
Battery life is quoted as 8 hours I suspect 6 will be closer to reality.
All in all I think it's an excellent tablet considering the price and the fact you can upgrade it's memory cheaply with an additional SD card
