Inverters

I am needing a 3ph inverter to run the extractor fan on my spray booth on single phase supply. The motor on the extractor is dual voltage and only puts out 3/4 hp. I see direct drives of Nottingham do digital inverters which looks perfect for the job and you can control the motor speed which is ideal to get the fan running at the correct rate.

Will I need one that is for a 3/4 hp motor as this is for 1 hp. And recomendations or feedback most welcome

No you can run a smaller motor on a larger inverter no problem.

Have used a lot of hitachi and telemecanique inverters in the past no idea about the ones in the link though.

running my mill, lathe, shaper and pillar drill and I can't fault it.
You just program in the motor size.

Thanks for that, looks a better deal than what I was looking at. With the capacity to run other bits of kit I may get in the future. A 5hp 3ph compressor is then a possibility over the twin 3hp compressor I was looking to upgrade to in the future

id look in to that 1st ifi was u they may not run a compressor starting under load . they dont like 4 poster lifts either

Thanks, will do. I was just thinking out loud, just an example for future expansion and a higher capacity inverter gives me options I wouldn't have with the other inverter I was looking at.

I have one of those direct drives inverters in your post. Its a great job but i only use it for running a tyre machine.
