Hello, just joined up and I'm after a bit of advice about these welders. Have heard of the weldequip shop and after looking on there I see the Inverter Fusion 180ma welder and it seems a good machine from the write up, but don't they all?
Anyway it will be used for agricultural welding more than anything, so doing quite thick metals such as broken frames on ploughs ect. Ideally I would like to have it set up so I can run it from a van with a generator. It says on the write up for the welder that it will need 7kva. Is this for it to run at its maximum amperage? From the van it would mainly be running on 2.5mm electrodes and won't be doing major work just kind of 'get you home' type repairs that can be done properly back at a workshop.
Do people think this welder is suitable for my needs? And whats the smallest generator i would get away with using?
