Silly question but why do you need wifi in the office ? If all you need is a connection to a PC or Laptop then surely a simple copper connection would suffice. I just run a cable to my 2nd computer in the shed and plug into the modem. I'n not doing games etc just run of the mill surfing etc.

That’s all I’ve done to the workshop but I’ve a Pc out there and a laptop as and when. It’s fine.

I can only think he needs WiFi as he’s got a pad or something with no lan socket?

Actually not that bad. I got myself the Tenda MW6 3 pack a while ago. £99, if I recall, & they're a good bit of kit. Very easy to setup too.

Same. TP Link decos are 3 for £99 and work very well too.

As well as the office pc stuff, I need WiFi to run all my music playing toys

plus my surface pro and iPad work better and simpler to connect to WiFi

This worked so well for the money - real simple to set up.

I used it for getting wifi upstairs in our house.

This has been a bit of bone of contention with wifey - because when I had the brick garage built at the bottom of the garden - I ran some CAT 5 cable with the power supply armour cable. I use an old laptop in garage and set a "wifi hotspot" from this.

Truthfully I ran two bits of CAT 5 cable to the garage - one in use/one spare (it is very cheap per meter). This was 16 years ago when I did this - it is only of late I have used it - listening to internet radio in the garage.
